Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week has played a key part in the British sporting summer calendar and is one of the UK’s longest running events. Each day there are up to 40 races for more than 1,000 boats, making it the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world.
Cowes Week began in 1826 with just seven yachts competing a Gold Cup which held the value of £100. Since then Cowes week has evolved year-on-year. Competitors range from Olympians to weekend sailors and more than 100,000 spectators who come to watch the action on the water. Clipper Events offers racers, cruisers and spectators the option of chartering one or more of our fleet. This includes twelve Clipper 70s the new yachts built and ready to compete in the 13-14 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race and Ten Clipper 68s, the current Clipper Round the World Yacht Race fleet.
Get active on the water or soak up the atmosphere from the sidelines with a whole boat charter, or an individual booking.

If you cannot commit to a whole day why not take an evening cruise to enjoy the spectacular Friday night firework display on 9 August 2013. The Cowes display is a spectacular affair and usually lasts about half an hour, during which time they light the blue touch paper on approximately six tonnes of fireworks.
