The Clipper 60s have the classic look of the traditional ocean racing thoroughbred. They were specially commissioned for the first ever Clipper Race in 1996, designed to sail around the world with a crew of 15. They also perform well in light winds.
Measuring 60 feet from bow to stern they have been designed to balance speed with sea kindliness – a magical alliance which brings security and great enjoyment to the crews aboard. Designed by Pederick, a prominent and progressive leader in yacht design, the boats were built in England by Colvic Craft.
With four circumnavigations under their hulls the Clipper 60s are now used for the first part of the pre-race training for our round the world crews. They are also popular for corporate events, training and adventure sailing weekends as they are the perfect vessel for an introduction to big boat sailing.
